I've had a "real" job for almost three months, and as of today, I've made THREE plans for upcoming trips.
First up: Mexico. I've wanted to visit Mexico City and Guadalajara for awhile, so I'm finally headed there over Christmas. I'll also be checking out the Aztec ruins at Teotihuacán while I'm there...and going to a Lucha Libre wrestling match!

Second: Tokyo, Japan.
I got an email from one of the flight tracker sites I'm subscribed to, and there was an INSANELY low fare for the week of Spring Break. I bought it without too much thought...then realized I should probably check on their COVID related info. Turns out--they are currently closed to tourists! I did a bit of research, and most people seem to thing they'll be reopened by Spring, so I kept the ticket. Thought it might be worthwhile.

And as of today: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Again, saw a cheap fare for the summer (their winter--but temps from 70-80 degrees) and bought it. At least this time, I checked COVID restrictions first! Just staying for a week here...not too much of the kind of touristy stuff I like, but lots of beaches, and it will be nice to relax for a week right after school ends.
WHAT AM I THINKING???
