Awakened by rain again, and planes that literally land across the freaking street. I get up and get packed and walk to Wendy's for breakfast. I accidently order two of everything (I just smile and say "yes" a lot in a foreign country, so sometimes things get wonky). I head back to the security gate and give the extra to the security guard. He is very happy.

I eat my breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg and cheese muffin with hash browns and OJ), and then call an Uber. I'm at my gate way early...and for the first time ever, I have to fill out a customs form to LEAVE a country. I get through and buy a t-shirt before hitting my gate in an attempt to get rid of my remaining pesos. I explore the area and find a place to get a smoothie and some banana bread. I spend the rest of the time reading a book and buying water that turns out to be sparkling (yuck). That's what happens when I do things too fast.

I go ahead and check my bag at the gate because it is a full flight and they offered to do it for free. The flight is delayed about 30 minutes, but we make up that time on the flight home...and I'm in the Atlanta airport by about 7pm.

Customs in Atlanta takes a bit longer because the lines are so much longer. I get pulled aside by security at baggage claim. I guess this is what I get for so much good luck during the rest of my trip. Or I just look really dangerous. They go through my luggage and we make small talk. He finds the books I'm carrying and I tell him I'm a teacher...and he starts reciting Shakespeare. Just give me my luggage, dude.

Finally get through this, and head outside to meet my ride. Finally home :-)
