Home Again, Home Again

Got up, took a shower, and packed. Walked to Starbucks and got a brigadeiro frappucino. Walked to the beach one last time and pondered again...while I watched the beach birds sleeping, then waking up and grooming and walking around before the people pack the sand. Very cute.

Made it to the airport without incident this time (thankfully). Once I figured out how to get my boarding pass from LATAM (very nice employees, btw), it went pretty smoothly (and quickly). Got to my terminal and went to Pao de Queijo Cafe (ubiquitous in Rio) and got 2 pao de queijo filled with butter (which I agreed to without realizing it).

Made it through security/customs quickly in the Sao Paulo airport, then went to the Heineken restaurant for dinner and had some soupy fettucine alfredo for dinner along with a local beer called Eisenbahn.

Flight back to Atlanta uneventful and the fastest customs EVER. The woman handed me back my passport and told me I looked like a young Carol Burnett--which I told her was the best compliment she could have given me.
